Our continued mission is to build Healthy Children today for Healthy Community tomorrow by generating resources and financial assets in ourder to fund health related services and enhance the health and weill-being for children and families in our community.
The Foundation for Community and Family Health has a strong commitment to fund programs and services that address the unmet needs in the community. The purpose behind all our programs is to help our community stay healthy and informed.

The Healthy Children Vaccine Program provides an average of over 4,000 childhood vaccines per year to over 3,000 children.
- 68% of these children need these vaccines to enter school.
- 25% are infants with inadequate or no medical insurance.*
- 5% are homeless who are trying to re-enter society by sending their children to school.
- 2% are children newly placed in Western Riverside Foster families.
The TB Skin Test Programprovides an average of almost 3,000 screenings for children and provides an average of 2,000 TB tests in per year.
The Resources and Referrals Programwas created to provide low-income children and families with the health and social resources they needed. Over the years the program has grown to provide personal hygiene products, clothing, school supplies and much more.
WIC (Women, Infant & Children) Physicals Program:
- Almost 300 children received their necessary WIC physical
- Physical covers height, weight and hemoglobin levels on children birth through 5.
- Parents receive additional education including nutrition and weight management
- Over 100 physicals are provided per year.
The Youth Sports Physicals (Pilot Program) has been identified as a community health need. It has been made available to the youth who do not have medical insurance and need this exam to play in after school sports.
Parenting Program:
- Parents are referred directly from CPS and Riverside Courts.
- On average, over 100 parents attend educational classes each year.
Josh and Friends Hospital Program provides children at Corona Regional Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente, who are under going surgical procedures, with a "Josh the Dog". Josh stays with each child during their hospital stay and helps to sooth the uneasiness of unfamiliar surroundings and procedures.
Breast Health Detection Program provides diagnostic breast services to symptomatic women and men in our community, who are uninsured or underinsured. The Foundation partners with six medical providers who perform clinical exams, mammograms, ultrasounds and surgery. If breast caner is found, program participants are enrolled in a State of California funded program.
The Chaplaincy Program provides spiritual counsel and emotional support to patients, families and staff at Corona Regional Medical Center. A Chaplain functions as an integral part of the healthcare team to meet the needs of the sick and suffering, the distressed and dying.
